On Friday 6 November, hundreds of participants from all over Queensland gathered at The Parklands at Southbank for the annual MS Moonlight Walk. A total of 1,300 participants of all ages celebrated our great city with a leisurely and safe 10km walk as the sun set and the full moon rose.

This year’s event was the most successful ever, reaching a record breaking $80,000 in fundraising from the event – a massive achievement by our generous supporters and participants. Special guests on this moonlit night were Mayor of Ipswich Paul Pisasale, World Champion and Commonwealth Games Champion Robert de Castella, 97.3’s Campo and special appearances from mascots Bosko (MS Queensland) and Roary (Queensland Roar). Also in attendance were the infamous Storm Troopers who not only completed the entire 10km walk, but led the group with their high energy warm up at the start.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the MS Moonlight Walk, particularly to the participants and teams who return every year to join in this great night out. A special thank you goes to our sponsors, and of course, our fantastic 80+ volunteers on the night - the event could not run without their assistance!
