The association between epilepsy and multiple sclerosis is not a coincidence, French research suggests.
Authors of a new study analysed a population of 5041 people with MS and identified 102 patients with epileptic seizures. In 67 people with MS, the epileptic seizure could not be explained by any cause other than MS.
The study suggests an increased risk of epileptic seizures in people with MS.
