Government support for flood victims

The Department of Health and Ageing has announced special support packages for Queenslanders affected by recent flooding.
 
Older Australians and aged care staff affected by unprecedented flooding in Queensland will be supported under measures taken to ensure the safety and well being of people in residential and community care in flood affected areas.  Read more

The Acting Minister for Health and Ageing, Mark Butler, has announced special short term emergency health arrangements for flood-affected areas, including the activation of the Health National Incident Room and special pharmacy arrangements.  Read more

Australians experiencing mental ill health resulting from unprecedented flooding in Queensland will be able to access support through special measures.  Read more

Residents recovering from storms or floods can access a range of other government help and advice, including personal hardship grants and Australian Government payments.  For more details, visit the Community Services website.
