Philanthropist, person with multiple sclerosis and MS Research Australia (MSRA) Director, Simon McKeon, has been named Australian of the Year for 2011.Simon was recognised for his inspirational commitment to a number of community organisations, including the Global Poverty Project, Red Dust Role Models and Millennium Development.
He is credited with being instrumental in the establishment of MSRA in 2004 and guiding the organisation, part-funded by MS Australia – QLD, to its position as the country’s peak body for MS research.
