Kiss Goodbye to MS this May!

Geoff Huegill dives in for MS

Comeback King of the swimming pool Geoff Huegill has been named the Queensland ambassador of the MS Mega Swim fundraiser, where participants spend a day in the pool to support people with multiple sclerosis.

Geoff’s remarkable return to swimming was a highlight of last year’s Commonwealth Games in Delhi, where he took out gold with a record-breaking effort in the 100m butterfly.

MS Mega Swim, which comes to Queensland for the first time in March, is a relay event in which team members take turns swimming laps for a full day to raise money for people with MS.

“Using my achievements to inspire others to be the best they can be is a real honour, and I am proud to get behind the MS Mega Swim fundraiser,” Geoff said.

The Gold Coast will hold the first MS Mega Swim on March 5, before it rolls into Cairns on May 14.  To find out more or register to take part, visit www.megaswim.com
