We recently teamed up with renowned film maker Peter Ireland from the Production Room, to produce a heartfelt series of short films for World MS Day this year.
Using Queenslanders living with MS, the films depict three real employment scenarios of how ‘employment and MS works’; working part-time, full time and returning to the workforce after having children.

To bring additional awareness to the issue of Employment and MS, MS Australia - QLD also held their first Employment Roundtable in Queensland, aimed at engaging key stakeholders across government, industry and the private sector.
The roundtable was highly successful and discussed many issues regarding work and living with a chronic illness and highlighted benefits of retaining people with MS in employment and provided working examples of how this can be achieved through simple workplace modifications and grants available to employers.
More regional workshops are planned throughout the year to continue to champion this important policy issues across the State.
