McKinnon House is a specially-modified property located in the picturesque suburb of Runaway Bay on the northern end of the Gold Coast. This peaceful retreat is offered to people with multiple sclerosis and other degenerative neurological conditions in need of respite.
The waterfront home has six-bedrooms and four-bathrooms, accommodating up to 10 people for short stays. Whether fishing from the private jetty or watching the sun rise over the Broadwater, this is an ideal spot to overcome the stresses of living with a disability.
Use of this facility is subject to a screening process. The MS Society does not provide care support at this property and it is not available as a respite care service. The MS Society provides other avenues for respite care which can be discussing by contacting 1800 177 591.
